Won't you think about adopting me?

Currently, Max is unavailable for adoption. We are working on some of his issues and he'll stay with his foster family while that happens. Unfortunately, COVID-19 has put the brakes on our plans for Max, so while his foster family continues to work with him, we are taking applications from those who understand that he will not be available until such time as we can work with you in your home once he is adopted. Feel free to drop us an email or fill out an application for Max, and we will keep you posted on his progress.
Max was dumped at a shelter by his owners, who said he bit someone. We don't know that that's true, but if he did it is probably because he is a bit shy around people and someone likely pushed him to a place where he felt he had to protect himself. We say that because, as we have taken our time and let him get used to us, he has turned out to be sweet and loving. He LOVES other dogs, and now he likes to climb into laps for some loving. He would do best in a calm home without children. Other dogs likely would be a plus.
All dogs are seen by appointment only. Our adoptions include an application, meeting the dog, a home check, and an adoption contract. Please visit www.shamrockrescue.org/info/adoption for more information.
